GROUP 2 BIG Falls From Pride
This week was an awesome week full of many amazing miracles!! To start off we had a baptism for Hno Corrales! What a good man! His daughter Madelenye is just waiting to tie the knot with her husband to then follow in the steps of her dad! Super awesome!
And... now I have 2 stories for you all:) a spiritual one and a funny one hahah so I’ll start with the spiritual!! So this week in church in the gospel principles class we were talking about sacrifice, the sacrifice we make as member of the gospel. the Lord expects us to make sacrifices in all we do to show him our true love and dedication to this gospel. As I sat there and listened to all the comments I looked around the room and saw so many examples of sacrifice and yet every comment was about how much sacrifice us missionaries are making to be here with these people. The only thing I could think was I’m really not sacrificing anything compared to these people!! Here sat Cristian who is dead set on going on a mission even though it might even put his sick mother over the edge. I then felt the spirit prompt me to ask Hno Ayarza to say something about the blessings of sacrifice. Hno Ayarza is the dad of one of the little girls that got baptized 2 weeks ago. He is the biggest example to me and I really love that man!!!! He started to share his story about how for 2 months he hasn’t had work. Now there have been days they don’t eat... but how he knows this church is true so they find a way to come to church. How he hasn’t seen any temporal blessings from his reactivation but he has seen many spiritual blessings. As the whole room was filled with the spirit and this man along with the rest of us just cried I realized what true sacrifice is. now let me ask you what you sacrifice for the Lord? Do you sacrifice 5 min of your 8 hr night to pray morning and night? Do you put facebook down for at least an hour a day to read the scriptures? or do you go without eating a day or 2 this week so you can pay $3 just to get to the church on Sunday? I hope you all can make note of the real sacrifices you are making for the lord and make MORE!! I love these people! They are changing me!!!
Now for the funny story! So Thursday me and Hna Campbell got the day started and had tons of excitement for miracles. So we headed out first thing to do cosechas. As we got to an intersection we both felt 2 different directions so we stopped to say a prayer on the corner of the street! Ahora the streets here are not the best to say the least but on the corners of the streets they have BIG holes/gutter things that let the water drain from the road when it pours rain! So after the prayer we said 123 and pointed where we felt we should go so I took a step to turn around and well the road like JUMPED out from under me and I fell.... I FELL in the huge hole!! Not just kinda fell no like whole body big fall... I fell in a hole people. So now that my shoes were filled with mud and my whole body really banged up we walked back to the house and could not stop laughing... Panama go hungry for some good old Hna Denning hahah so now after a trip to Panama and getting back at 12am I’m okay just really sore hhahah
well I love you guys so much and I pray for you daily!! Stay great and make some sacrifices!!! The lord already did his now it’s our turn. But by all means no need to fall in a hole for your sacrifice we need our bodies.... hahahha love you!!
